Broker Bonuses
Broker bonuses are incentives offered by different forex brokers to attract clients. These bonuses vary in type and from broker to broker. Also, these bonuses vary in fulfillment requirements. Examples of bonuses offered by brokers include no-deposit bonuses, deposit bonuses, and welcome bonuses among others.
No deposit bonus
These forex broker bonuses are granted without a deposit. For this type of bonus, money is credited to the client’s (usually new) account for trading in the forex market. This bonus is usually granted upon verification of identity after registration.
The major advantage of this bonus is that it allows traders to trade a live account without having to risk personal capital.
This can be very beneficial for beginners, as it helps gain experience that cannot be gotten from demo trading. The no-deposit bonus allows new forex traders to “test the waters” before depositing their funds. It can also be helpful for professional traders. This is because it is an opportunity to test out the trading conditions of a particular broker before making a deposit.
Deposit bonuses
Deposit bonuses are granted by brokers to clients to increase equity after making a deposit. This allows the client to trade more volume if they so wish. Deposit bonuses are granted by brokers in percentages of the deposit amount and vary from broker to broker.
Deposit bonuses are often granted in the form of trading credits which may usually be withdrawn after meeting certain requirements. Deposit bonuses can be from 25% of the deposit to as much as 115%.
Welcome bonus
This type of forex broker bonus is given to new clients upon registration. It usually expires a couple of days from registration. This type of bonus may or may not require a deposit.

Note: While bonuses offered by brokers can be very beneficial to the forex trader, it is important to be wary of scammers. Some fraudulent brokers use bonuses to entice unsuspecting traders, who trade with them. After the trader must have made some profit, they then ask the trader to deposit some amount to be able to withdraw the funds. The broker then locks the funds or can even close the account altogether defrauding the broker of the profits and deposited funds.
